City of York Council is seeking an experienced Senior Endpoint Engineer to join our ICT Services department. You will ensure the delivery of secure, resilient, and compliant desktop and mobile infrastructure across a complex technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support operating systems, applications, and configurations.
- Resolve complex technical issues and manage endpoint security technologies (Encryption, patching).
- Maintain compliance with NCSC, Cabinet Office, and MoJ frameworks.
- Develop automated deployment processes using PowerShell.
- Manage corporate devices via Intune and SCCM.
- Act as an escalation point and provide technical input for infrastructure planning.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum three years in a medium‑to‑large enterprise ICT environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Systems: Proven experience with SCCM, Intune, and software packaging.
- Automation: Strong PowerShell skills for configuration and security.
- Modern Workplace: Familiarity with Office 365, Azure AD, and iOS/Android management.
- Processes: Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN).
