We are looking to recruit someone who is child focused and works in a strengths based way to be part of the Family Group Conference Team within our Targeted Intervention Service.
A Family Group Conference (FGC) is a family led process that enables a child's family and network to come together to consider solutions and develop a plan to manage and minimise concerns for the child, promote their permanence and identify ongoing and sustainable support. As an FGC coordinator you will use a resorptive approach to help families to build their natural networks and will be responsible for delivering high quality Family Group Conferences to support families to make plans to keep children safe.
Priorities for the service include work with children who are at risk of coming into the care of the local authority, those in the pre-proceedings stage of support from CSC and those who are experiencing changes in care arrangement. In addition to this you will be working with some children in care and care leavers supporting them to explore their natural network, growing the quantity and quality of connections they have to increase their feelings of belonging.

This role is suitable as a job sharing position. Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
