We are looking to recruit an individual who can provide high quality professional support to the Education and Skills service. This role is essential in supporting across a range of projects and workstreams and we are looking for an individual who can think in innovative and creative ways to support across education services.
We are a forward -thinking service and are proud of the partnership we have built with schools and academies in the city and the postholder will have a direct role in providing professional support to the work of the York Schools and Academies Board.
You will be joining a busy service which delivers the statutory education functions of the local authority and will provide you with excellent opportunities to develop your skills and to work across a multi-disciplnary team.
In this role you will contribute to core activities of monitoring and analysis of school performance and informing the commissioning of support to narrow gaps in achievement between key groups, by undertaking a full range of professional/ support services, some of a complex and sensitive nature, with the minimum of supervision.
This position is available as a job sharing opportunity.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly. Only a conceptually difficult subject can hinder a natural, smooth flow of language.
