York High School are seeking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to join our existing Cover Team as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the learning, behaviour and progress of classes during the absence of the designated teacher by delivering pre-prepared lessons.
  • Work in a busy environment with excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Open to candidates considering a teaching career; applications are welcome from any candidate who can make a difference to the lives of young people.
  • Experience or aptitude in delivering prepared lessons and managing classroom dynamics is desirable.

  • The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
