We are looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Building / Void Accommodation Cleaner to support the Council’s Temporary Accommodation Service. This role plays an important part in ensuring that accommodation is clean, safe and welcoming for customers who may be experiencing homelessness and significant life change.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare temporary accommodation units and communal areas to a high standard.
- Deep-clean void flats following move-outs and maintain communal and external areas.
- Work closely with colleagues to identify any issues requiring repair or further attention.
- Follow health and safety procedures, use cleaning equipment safely and report hazards, repairs or concerns promptly.
- Support quick turnaround of properties so homes are ready for use when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of cleaning domestic or communal environments is desirable.
- Good attention to detail, reliability and a commitment to providing good customer service.
- Willingness to learn, professionalism and a respectful, non-judgemental approach to vulnerable customers.
