The City of York Council is seeking two Arboriculturalists / Tree Climbers with a passion for tree care. If you believe you could be an important addition to our current Arboricultural team and provide excellent service, please get in touch.
Key skills and experience required:
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Arboriculture/Forestry work, including chainsaw use (ground and in-tree pruning), chainsaw maintenance, tree climbing, felling, pruning, aerial rescue, tree identification, site risk assessments, tractor driving, first aid, herbicide license, fencing, and tree planting.
- Familiarity with Chapter 8 road signage regulations, wood chipper use, MEWP IPAF 1b, related machinery, LOLER, horticultural techniques, ladder safety, CAT scanner, and health & safety at work.
- Driving license and ability to maneuver a van in confined areas.

Working hours: 07:30-16:15 Monday to Thursday, 07:30-11:30 Friday. Two posts are available.
