The Role: Vice Chairperson As Vice Chairperson, you’ll act as a key figure in the club’s leadership team, helping steer the vision, growth, and governance of City of Salford FC. You’ll support the Chairperson in driving strategic direction, ensuring decisions align with our values, and deputising when required. This is a role for someone with leadership experience, integrity, and a strong belief in the power of football to inspire, unite, and deliver lasting impact. Key Responsibilities Support and deputise for the Chairperson when necessary at meetings and events Assist in setting and reviewing strategic priorities and club growth targets Act as a sounding board for leadership decisions, ideas, and initiatives Lead or support key working groups (e.g., finance, partnerships, governance) Oversee volunteer and committee engagement, ensuring smooth collaboration Represent the club at local events, FA meetings, and public-facing opportunities Contribute to major operational decisions, including club structure and compliance Ensure the club maintains its ethical, financial, and safeguarding responsibilities What We’re Looking For Proven leadership experience (business, sports, community or nonprofit) Excellent communication, diplomacy, and organisational skills A strategic thinker who’s calm under pressure and focused on solutions A passion for football, community development, and fan-owned models Ability to work collaboratively in a volunteer-led environment Ideally local to Salford or Greater Manchester (or with strong ties to the area) Why Join Us?
