About the role

The Learning Support Administrator reports to the Head of Learning Support and provides high‑quality administrative support to the Learning Support department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across all four campuses.
  • Arrange appointments and prepare for meetings and events.
  • Type correspondence and prepare reports as required.
  • Take minutes of cross‑college support meetings and distribute them.
  • Maintain an effective filing system, both paper‑based and electronic, ensuring confidentiality when needed.
  • Maintain procedural records and compile student and staff tracking documentation within Learning Support.
  • Monitor processes, including SPLD, ISNs, and the Hold spreadsheet.
  • Assist with planning the assessment of students with learning difficulties and disabilities before interviews for mainstream and discrete programmes.
  • Participate in staff development programmes where appropriate.
  • Support the administrative needs of the Learning Support Manager and SEND Team Leaders.
  • Train and support the Learning Support Admin Apprentice.
  • Undertake other duties as commensurate with the post.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Evidence of commitment to professional development.
  • Good standard of Maths and English.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Background in Education desirable.
