Salary: Actual Salary Pro-Rata, £30,248.30 - £44,298.68 Full Time Equivalent per annum

Hours of work: up to 35 hours per week (inclusive of teaching and prep time), up to 52 weeks per year, Sessional/Variable Hours Contract

About the role

We are currently looking for a skilled Brick professional to join our North Harbour Campus to pass their skills on to our students ranging from Level 1 - 3 on a Sessional Basis. A Lecturer plays the largest part in a student's experience in education. As a Lecturer you help your learners thrive and reach their aspirational careers and dreams! Please note, this is a Sessional post and has no guaranteed hours attached to it.

Key Responsibilities

  • To teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College's strategic priorities and objectives.
  • To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success.
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes.
  • Curriculum Development responsibilities include:
  • Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area
  • Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught

Requirements

  • Minimum level 2/3 qualification in Bricklaying
  • At least 5 years Industry experience
  • Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Ability to meet targets within set timescales
  • Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
  • Computer literate
