About the role:
Reporting to the Assistant Principal Adult, ESOL & Online, the Adult Learning & Online Co‑ordinator will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operational management of a designated curriculum area at City of Portsmouth College. The post holder will be expected to lead and manage a team of staff, ensuring all duties are effectively undertaken to deliver a high‑quality service to our students and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- To oversee the day‑to‑day operational management of the admin team
- To line manage the team of online teachers
- To ensure that all individual team members personal work complies with college standards and is carried out properly, effectively and within deadlines
- To lead through your duties and position to be a role model for best practices and standards for your team
- To be responsible for managing the student and other stakeholder experience and journey
- To liaise with other internal departments to ensure all members of the team have all required mandatory training at the start of their employment and refreshed on an annual basis
- Deliver the line manager element of inductions and where appropriate any role specific training
- Identify individual training and development needs and implement where required
- To contribute to a responsive and relevant curriculum offer
- To continue to develop partnerships with external stakeholders
- Contribute to the promotion of all aspects of the curriculum area
- Work with others to ensure the accuracy and reliability of college information systems
- Contribute to the process of self‑assessment within the curriculum area and on a college wide basis.
- Manage partnerships effectively ensuring the college is meeting all audit requirements
