Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 Construction

Location: North Harbour Campus, Portsmouth

Salary: £22,823.51 – £23,363.71 – Full Time Equivalent

Job Type: Various hours available – 36 working weeks per year, 44.2 paid weeks per year

About the role: As a 1:1 / Small Group Learning Support Assistant (LSA) at City of Portsmouth College, you will be required to support our students who have special educational needs, in a 1:1 or small group within a classroom setting. The role will be based at our Northarbour Campus and will support students on Construction courses either in the workshop or in the classroom for theory sessions.

You may also be required to support our students during break and lunch times and on external outings. You will support the students as stated within their Educational Health Care Plan requirements whilst promoting independence and high expectations at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and recording students' progress
  • Work collaboratively with the class teachers and other college staff
