About the role
As the Study Centre Lead you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations and effectiveness of the study centre here at our Trades-focused Campus. You could be supporting students studying Construction, Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Plumbing, Electrical and more! You will be responsible for ensuring that students have access to a range of resources, including books, computers and study materials. You will also be collaborating with academic staff to develop programs and services that support student learning and success. Additionally, you may also be involved in budget management, organising workshops or events and implementing processes to enhance the overall learning experience within the college.
Key responsibilities
- Management of the day-to-day operations of the study centre at your campus.
- Providing 1:1 study support for Vocational, Technical and GCSE students.
- Collaborate with academic staff to identify and address student learning needs and support academic programmes.
- Deliver workshops/small-group session with a particular focus on Health and Safety principles.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success and academic achievement.
