About the role: The HR Advisor for Staff Development will provide high quality, professional, proactive people focused support and advice to staff and managers working with all levels of the College management team in relation to Staff Development including but not limited to long and short courses, staff training and CPD. The HR Advisor (Staff Development) will proactively support the delivery of the People Strategy across the College and take a lead role in Staff Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging training programmes for staff at all levels.
  • Lead and coordinate CPD days, development events, and leadership programmes.
  • Manage and enhance the College’s induction programme from onboarding to probation.
  • Support appraisal and capability processes to drive performance and development.
  • Oversee mandatory training compliance and maintain accurate training records.
  • Analyse training data to identify trends and inform workforce development priorities.
  • Partner with managers, HR, and external providers to promote a culture of continuous professional development.

To be successful in this role:

  • CIPD Level 5 (or willing to work towards) or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of commitment to professional development.
  • A good standard of Maths and English.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Background in HR.
