We are looking for one part time (50%) Science teacher who is committed to ensuring that every child thrives as part of our dynamic Science faculty. The successful candidates should have a passion for science, be innovative in the classroom as well as ambitious for their students and their own professional development. The ability to teach A-Level Physics will be an advantage. Working days are negotiable but must include a Friday.
This is a great opportunity for you to join our large and inclusive school which places a high value on professional development and driving “excellence in all” through teaching and learning. Our science faculty comprises of 17 teachers with a wide spread of experiences, with everyone bringing something unique to the team. The team is led by a faculty leader and three deputy‑faculty leaders, each specialising in a different science discipline.
Science is very popular at Key Stage 5, with at least nine classes across the three Sciences and Environmental Science in both year 12 and year 13. At GCSE we use the Edexcel suite of qualifications and offer students the preference of combined science or triple science. Our Key Stage 3 curriculum is bespoke to CNS and is designed to offer both a breadth and depth of scientific experiences and knowledge to our learners.
This role is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers. All we ask is that you have a passion for your subject, be innovative in the classroom as well as ambitious for your students and your own professional development.
