Overview
Enthusiastic Jazz Programming & Ensemble Manager to organize and oversee Guildhall School’s jazz performances, from small combos to large jazz orchestras. You will work within the Music Administration Department to ensure efficient planning, administration, and maintenance of jazz instruments and equipment. You will apply your concert planning experience and deep jazz education knowledge to deliver high-quality ensembles and performances. You will collaborate across teams to support the School’s innovative, professional training in the performing arts.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage administrative tasks for all Guildhall jazz ensembles and performances
- Oversee maintenance and organization of the jazz instrument and equipment inventory
- Plan and manage jazz concert logistics and scheduling
- Provide comprehensive ensemble management support across varying ensemble sizes
- Ensure timely delivery of services, deadlines, and quality standards
- Support cross-functional collaboration with faculty, technicians, and administrative staff
- Contribute to the growth and efficiency of the jazz program
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and institutional policies
Key requirements
- Previous performance management experience in a conservatoire/Performing Arts establishment
