The City of London Corporation is seeking an experienced Head of Housing Management to provide visionary leadership and operational oversight across its housing portfolio in the City of London and six London Boroughs.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and embed customer care standards across all housing management teams.
- Lead and support managers, fostering a high‑performing, inclusive culture.
- Oversee tenancy, home ownership, sheltered living, income collection, estate services, housing needs and neighbourhood development and engagement.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, robust active risk management, and strong governance.
- Manage a combined workforce and operational budget exceeding £5.5 million, ensuring value for money and financial control.
- Drive innovation, service co‑design, and digital transformation to enhance resident experience.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver corporate priorities.
About You
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent experience.
- Appropriate management qualification (e.g. ILM) and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Chartered Institute of Housing qualification (level 4) and membership in a relevant professional body.
- Proven track record as a senior leader in a large, complex organisation.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget oversight and income collection.
- Experience of delivering resident‑focused successful service improvement, risk management, and governance programmes.
- Excellent communication, people management, and collaborative working skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to maximise financial returns and operational efficiencies.
