Join our Adult Skills and Education Service and help shape high-quality learning opportunities that make a real difference to adults, families and local communities. We’re looking for an experienced education professional to lead curriculum quality, support tutors and develop an inclusive, responsive learning programme that meets the needs of learners, employers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on quality assurance and continuous improvement across accredited and non-accredited provision.
- Manage and support a team of Adult Community Learning tutors and reception staff.
- Develop and enhance the adult learning curriculum to meet learner and employer needs.
- Monitor learner outcomes, attendance, achievement and satisfaction to drive service improvement.
- Build strong partnerships with employers, community organisations and education providers.
- Promote outstanding teaching, learning and learner progression across the service.
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold a degree (or equivalent) and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or Adult/FE teaching qualification).
- Have substantial experience in adult, further or community learning, including curriculum leadership and quality improvement.
- Be an effective people manager with experience of supporting and developing teaching staff.
- Have excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.
- Be passionate about widening participation, improving outcomes and delivering outstanding learning experiences for adults.
