City of London School is seeking a Gym Supervisor and Instructor to play a central role in ensuring that the state of the art gym is used to its fullest potential by both pupils and staff.
The schools Gym Development, installed in collaboration with Matrix, consists of a Cardio Hub, Fixed Weight Machines and Free weights. The equipment includes Smith Machines, Power Racks and Olympic Lifting Platforms. We also have a dedicated Functional Fitness Space complete with speed carpet, punch bags and a Rig supplied by Escape Fitness.
The Gym Supervisor and Instructor will supervise and monitor all activities which take place in the Gym, supporting pupils and staff to achieve their health-related fitness goals. Alongside the oversight of the facility, you will be expected to assist the PE Department in developing and delivering an innovative health-related fitness programme.
You will have experience of working within the fitness industries including, fitness instruction and personal training, as well as excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to forge good working relationships with colleagues is essential.
Prior experience of working with children is an advantage.
