About The Role

Our Stable Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of our stables, including the welfare of our horses; overseeing the training and development of Mounted Officers and staff working at the stables; and supporting effective risk and budget management. Our Mounted Officers and Horses are involved in a range of public order and ceremonial events across both the City of London and elsewhere. The Stable Manager helps ensure horses are well-cared for, Mounted Officers are well-trained and equipped, and the stable is well-managed.

Selection Process

As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role. The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework. Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered. The closing date for applications is 24th September at 23:59. Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview.
