About The Team
The City of London Police is the designated National Lead Force for fraud and cyber-crime and is responsible for Action Fraud, the national fraud and cyber crime reporting service which also incorporates the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB) and National Economic Crime Victim Care Unit (NECVCU). The City of London Police’s mission is to protect the public by preventing and disrupting fraud and cyber-crime through capable, coordinated, and effective policing.
About The Role
Senior Intelligence Analysts are responsible for coordinating the production analytical products and supporting the professional development of Researchers, Analysts and Staff Investigators. This includes ensuring that products are of a high quality and meet national intelligence standards as well as legal frameworks.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Supervise the collection, collation, evaluation, analysis and dissemination of information/intelligence from a variety of internal and external sources.
- Management of staff and officers within Intelligence Teams.
- Coordinate the production of high quality analytical and intelligence products at a strategic and tactical level.
- Professional development of all staff under their supervision.
- Work with law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and industry partners in the UK and internationally.
Requirements
For this role, we need you to have experience of:
- Excellent analytical and research skills to evaluate information/intelligence and provide accurate key findings and recommendations that assist deliverance of intelligence led and evidence based policing.
- Excellent report writing skills to provide key information to assist decision making that is both clear and auditable.
- Previous experience of working within Intelligence within a law enforcement or associated agency at a tactical, operational and strategic level.
- Proven, recent supervisory experience in managing diverse and dynamic teams
- Have obtained or willingness to obtain and maintain certification in Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) as a Senior Intelligence Analyst

Selection Process
As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.
The closing date for applications is 20th August 2025.
Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, to be held Week commencing 15th September 2025.
