The City of London Police protects the people, businesses and infrastructure of the City of London. As part of the National Lead Force for fraud, the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) focuses on combating insurance fraud across England and Wales.
Hybrid working: This role requires a 60% office attendance rate and will be discussed with your hiring manager.
About the Role: The Senior Analyst (0.67 FTE) will lead research and analytical functions, providing strategic and operational insights into threats, and oversee a small team of researchers and analysts.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the collection, collation, evaluation, analysis and dissemination of information/intelligence from various internal and external sources.
- Coordinate the production of high‑quality analytical products at strategic and tactical levels.
- Professionally develop staff under your supervision.
- Review the effectiveness of research and analysis and provide constructive feedback.
- Work with law enforcement agencies and insurance industry partners to develop insights.
Requirements:
- Excellent analytical and research skills to evaluate information and provide accurate findings and recommendations.
- Ability to manage and evaluate crime and intelligence data to ascertain value and disseminate appropriately in accordance with guidance.
- Good decision‑making skills and ability to communicate decisions to stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to identify and adapt to changing priorities.
- Previous experience as an Intelligence Analyst within a law‑enforcement or associated agency at tactical, operational and strategic levels.
