Department/Role: The NPCC national cyber crime team is the national delivery partner for the Home Office Cyber Policy Unit to effect change and capability uplift across all forces in England & Wales with an outcome of mitigating the impact of cyber crime on business and communities. The team has a large portfolio of work with City of London Police being the strategic lead for the area of business. The post holder will report into a project lead - DCI rank who will provide leadership and support to achieve set objectives. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to develop, implement and enhance cybercrime capabilities across the 4Ps (Pursue, Prevent, Protect and Prepare) at both regional and force level. The role will support policing's response to cybercrime, with a particular focus on offences committed under the Computer Misuse Act, helping to ensure forces and Regional Organised Crime Units (ROCUs) are equipped to meet current and emerging threats.
