About The Team: The Domestic Corruption Unit (DCU) is established in partnership with the Home Office to coordinate the policing response to domestic bribery and corruption. The unit receives and assesses referrals from across policing, public sector and private industry, determines appropriate action, supports investigations and works closely with national partners to develop intelligence on corruption threats, strengthen system‐wide resilience and identify vulnerabilities.

Hybrid Working Policy: Military Police Staff roles require a 60% office attendance rate. Details will be discussed with the hiring manager during the selection process.

About The Role: The role involves investigating complex and often sensitive domestic bribery and corruption cases, ranging from local matters through to national and multi‐agency investigations. Responsibilities include planning and conducting enquiries, executing search warrants, interviewing suspects and witnesses under caution, gathering evidence from digital, financial and intelligence sources, managing investigations end‐to‐end, and preparing cases to a high evidential standard for submission to CPS and progression through the courts. You will support wider investigations, often working alongside partner agencies and stakeholders, while maintaining a professional, proactive and accountable approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview victims, witnesses and suspects in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures.
  • Plan and conduct investigations and operations in line with policing standards, including creating effective risk assessments, recording activity and updating victims and other relevant parties.
  • Prepare evidence, evidential statements and case files for use in court, attend court and present evidence where required.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies to prepare, submit and complete cases, including attending court and presenting evidence.
  • Gather and analyse technical evidence such as telecoms, digital material, financial and crypto access.

Requirements:

  • Experience interviewing victims, witnesses and suspects under caution.
  • Ability to plan and conduct investigations and operations that meet policing standards.
  • Skill in preparing evidence, evidential statements and case files for court use and presenting evidence in court.
  • Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies in case preparation and completion.
  • Capability in gathering and analysing technical evidence, including telecoms, digital material, financial records and cryptocurrency.
  • Continuously reside in the UK for the previous 5 years; MV/SC level vetting required.

Selection Process: The initial application will assess how your experience, skills and knowledge align with the points listed above. Successful candidates will be invited to a competency‐based interview, to be held week commencing 13th July 2026.
