The predicted salary is between 61000 - 68000 € per year.

A fixed term contract until 31st March 2027 with a starting salary of £61,180 plus £6,920 London Weighting and £200 London Weighting Supplement.

Location: Bishopsgate Police Station

Hybrid working policy: Requires 60% office attendance rate, details discussed locally with the hiring manager if successful.

About The Role

The Head of Technology Change will lead and manage the delivery of IT‐enabled change across the force, working with the Director of Digital and Technology to facilitate the development and ongoing management of the technology change portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside lead officers in relevant business areas to ensure that project and programme outcomes are owned within the service areas.
  • Develop vision and strategy, business cases, evaluate current technology and business processes, plan activities and manage governance to achieve outcomes.
  • Manage any budget assigned for technology change aspects of projects, monitor expenditures and costs, and report progress of the portfolio to the Director of Digital and Technology.
  • Prepare and present reports for senior officers, using plain language; ensure reports are signed off before submission to governance boards.
  • Day‐to‐day management of the technology change resource used by change projects to ensure successful delivery of new capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience monitoring and managing programme budgets and providing a range of financial reports to senior stakeholders and boards/committees.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships and delivering effective communication through a variety of channels.
  • Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner qualification, or similar, with several years of leading and managing complex programmes of change and delivering outcomes and benefits.
  • Experience of resource management within a portfolio environment, including use of blended teams with internal, contract and third‐party resources.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, able to present complex information clearly to a variety of audiences.
  • Must have right to work in the UK and continuous residence in the UK for the last 5 years (required for MV/SC vetting).
