The City of London Police are looking for a Contract Coordinator to assist the Commercial and Contract Management team in providing structured commercial management support and coordinating key activities relating to commercial, finance, risk management and supplier management. Reporting directly into the Head of CCM, the Contract Coordinator will undertake tasks directed by the team to support the onboarding, management and governance of all contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Support the onboarding of new contracts in conjunction with Procurement, ensuring all purchase requisitions, finances, baselines, and reporting are established for senior stakeholder review.
  • Set up tracking and reporting across the function, supporting the Head of CCM in legislative and internal reporting, particularly against savings budget/targets.
  • Provide oversight on spend for contracts below £10k, ensuring efficiencies and adherence to the Procurement Code.
  • Own the Procurement Authorisation Report (PAR) process and provide governance around pre-contract checks.
  • Carry out other tasks such as preparing commercial governance materials, updating Change Registers, and ensuring all relevant documentation is stored for audit purposes.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of contract management is an advantage.
  • Excellent administration and organization skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a pressured environment.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, both within and outside the organisation.
  • High level of IT skills, including MS Word and Excel, and ability to learn new software quickly.

Only candidates with the right to work in the UK and who have continuously resided in the UK for the last five years are eligible. The role requires MV/SC level vetting.

Selection Process

Applicants will be asked to evidence their experience, skills and knowledge aligned with the requirements. Shortlisting will be based on scoring against the listed criteria.
