Location: Working from home with willingness to travel to London and nationally at short notice for meetings

Role Overview: As a Capability Development Lead within the Programme, the role will, jointly with team members, develop and deliver an enhanced cyber capability across the 4Ps, at regional and local force level to tackle cybercrime, with a primary focus on offences committed under the Computer Misuse Act.

Key Responsibilities: This role will involve developing, leading and supporting delivery of various projects as directed by the NPCC National Cybercrime Team Lead. The role requires extensive stakeholder engagement with the Home Office, NCA and other partners. These projects cover a variety of capabilities within a large portfolio of change programmes and projects. The projects and programmes support delivery of the Strategic Priorities of the programme, which include:

  • Improve operational response
  • Develop policing cybercrime capacity & capability
  • Extend our strategic influence
  • Deliver greater alignment with Fraud and Economic Crime

The critical role we are currently looking to fill is to support the Cyber Resilience Centre lead in improving the national cyber response for small and medium enterprises across England and Wales. Other roles are projected to become available over the next 12 months.

Competencies Required: The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework. Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the role will not be considered.
