The successful candidate will hold a key role within the National Domestic Corruption Unit which is dedicated to preventing, disrupting and investigating UK based bribery and corruption across business and public sectors. They will have a can-do attitude and be keen to shape national policing capability and build trust and confidence to support the economic wellbeing of the UK. The primary role will be leading an investigation team of detectives and staff investigators.
The Domestic Corruption Unit (DCU), established in partnership with the Home Office, provides a national capability to coordinate the policing response to domestic bribery and corruption. It receives and assesses referrals from across policing, public sector, and private industry, determining appropriate action including direct investigation or allocation to partner agencies, while maintaining oversight and support.
Alongside its investigative role, the DCU works closely with national partners to develop intelligence on corruption threats and strengthen system-wide resilience. It has a strong focus on prevention and disruption, identifying vulnerabilities, improving organisational practices, and supporting a coordinated national response to protect the public and uphold integrity.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Required Skills And Experience- PIP2 accredited detective.

- Experience of illicit finance investigations e.g. Fraud, money laundering.
- Digital/ telecoms/ crypto investigation skills.
- Experience of proactive and covert investigation.
- RIPA applications and experience around operational security.
- Proactive, intel led approach to tackling crime.
- Major, serious organised crime or counter corruption investigations.
- Experience using HOLMES.
- Experience drafting warrants, production orders or authorities.
