Description of Department:

Preparedness, Resilience and Debriefing (PRD) provide the organisational emergency planning and preparedness function as mandated by the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. Our responsibilities include test and exercise of our response to Major Incidents. PRD deliver and coordinate JESIP Command and major incident training.

In addition to responsibilities for civil contingencies PRD also hosts the Counter Terrorism Prepare function, a strand of the UK Governments overarching CONTEST Strategy.

PRD also delivers Structured Debriefing for the organisation. The successful candidate will be expected to support the delivery of debriefing as directed by the PRD Supervisors.

The application and interview will be tested under Level 1 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
