About The Role
The System Administrator role plays a critical role in managing and evolving the Palantir Foundry platform instance used by the City of London Police (CoLP) to support the national response to fraud and cybercrime. The role ensures that CoLP retains the operational autonomy to manage data, workflows, permissions, and outputs on the platform without depending on the Service Desk for day-to-day support.
This role combines platform ownership and technical administration, with an emphasis on enabling crime report dissemination, ensuring platform compliance, and optimising business workflows.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary administrator for the Foundry – managing user access, permissions, configurations, and basic system health monitoring
- Ensure data quality and compliance by managing version control, validating datasets, and overseeing audit logs and retention policies
- Maintain and optimise platform workflows, templates, tags, SLAs, and entity records to support evolving operational needs
- Coordinate closely with the CoLP Information Security team to ensure adherence to security protocols
- Maintain and update documentation related to configuration, access control, and operational processes
Requirements
- Platform administration, including managing user access and system configurations
- Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or similar data analytics platforms used in public sector or secure environments
- Experience delivering technology solutions in policing, public safety, or criminal justice domains
- Basic understanding of data security, governance, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, law enforcement data handling)

Selection Process
As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role. The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework. Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered. The closing date for applications is Friday 6th February 2026 @ 5PM. Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, anticipated to be held week commencing 16th February 2026.
