The City of London Corporation is looking for a Procurement & Contracts Officer to join its Commercial Service. This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional to work in a complex public‐sector environment, delivering compliant, high‐value and responsible procurement solutions.
The role
You will manage procurement activity across one or more categories, supporting departments through the full procurement lifecycle. Acting as a trusted business partner, you'll provide expert advice, ensure compliance with public procurement regulations, and help deliver value for money while promoting sustainability and ethical sourcing.
Key responsibilities include:
- managing tenders and contracts
- analysing spend and market data
- supporting category strategies
- maintaining procurement systems
- reporting on performance
About you
You'll have experience in a procurement or buying role within a large or complex organisation, with a good understanding of UK public procurement legislation (including FTS procedures). Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and engage stakeholders effectively.
Applications are welcome from candidates working towards MCIPS. Additional experience in category management and FTS‐level procurements is required for Grade D.
