As one of three Personal Assistant and Member Services Officers, you'll provide wide-range, proactive support to Members of the City of London Corporation, with a particular focus on Member Services activities.
You'll lead on our ongoing Member Learning & Development programme, enabling Members to do the best possible job for local residents, businesses and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Member Learning & Development programme: identify essential, recommended and requested training needs, monitor participation and ensure value for money.
- Act as a second to officers supporting our Standards regime: arrange meetings, circulate information and serve as the first point of contact.
- Clerk the Member Development & Standards Sub‑Committee: prepare reports, agendas and minutes; provide governance advice.
- Administer, implement and develop Member privileges policies (e. g., Member Allowance Scheme, Member Transport Policy), manage day‑to‑day operations and amend or establish new policies.
- Support PA and Member Services Officer colleagues with personal assistance, administrative and diary‑management support to senior elected Members of the Court of Common Council where required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in the creation, delivery and administration of learning and development programmes or similar within a comparable setting.
- Highly organised yet flexible, with initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other administrative systems.
- Excellent communicator – capable of producing minutes, briefings and correspondence, and of liaising with, advising and inspiring confidence in senior people from a range of backgrounds.
