We are the City of London Corporation, our work underpins services, investments and priorities that benefit the Square Mile, London and beyond. To help deliver this, we are seeking an outstanding Executive Assistant to support our Financial Services Director.
This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the Chamberlain's Department. Acting as a trusted partner to the Financial Services Director, you will provide high-quality executive support, manage a complex and demanding diary, coordinate high-profile meetings and ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day business. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders including elected Members, Chief Officers, senior colleagues and external partners.
Alongside traditional executive support responsibilities, you will play an active role in supporting departmental projects, leadership meetings, colleague engagement activities and internal communications. You will help prepare briefings, reports and presentations, organise key events, maintain effective information management systems and contribute to the delivery of priorities across the Financial Services Directorate. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to strategic decision-making and the work of one of the Corporation's largest and most influential departments.
You will be part of a fast-paced, close-knit and supportive Business Support Team, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality support that enables effective leadership, governance and service delivery across the Financial Services Directorate. It's a team where colleagues genuinely support one another, celebrate successes and work together to solve challenges.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential, as is the confidence to work independently while building effective relationships across a complex organisation.
