About Central London Forward (CLF)
CLF is a partnership of the 12 central London local authorities. We work together with our member authorities and with other stakeholders to support inclusive and sustainable growth in central London, so that our economy thrives, and our residents benefit from the opportunities this creates. CLF manages large-scale employment and skills programmes in central London to help our residents access decent work.
Overview
We are seeking a passionate person with project management experience to lead on the delivery of the Central London Forward Youth Guarantee Trailblazer. Funded by the Department for Work & Pensions and managed by GLA, the Trailblazer will be delivered by our 12 central London borough partners. This innovative programme will focus on young people with experience of the care system and NEETS who live in Central London. The programme aims to provide bespoke support which is tailored to these young people’s individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for working with borough partners to maximise the number of young people we can support and progress into good work, placement opportunities or training.
- Drive the overarching aim of the programme to work towards real system change and identify direction for future funding.
- Monitor outputs, work with colleagues to find solutions to problems, ensure effective budget management and manage reporting to funders and partner organisations.
Experience and Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Developing and managing productive stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Effective budget management
- Recording and processing data
- Experience in welfare to work industry or similar
- Experience of working to specified targets, quality standards and compliance measures
- Excellent working knowledge of computer software packages, especially Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent administration skills and ability to produce accurate reports
- Understanding of data protection and information security
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Good standard of IT, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Organised and able to work under pressure
- Experience of working with young people on employment programmes would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of central London boroughs and existing employability and/or young people’s services would be desirable.
