Are you an experienced security professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service? The City Surveyor's Department is seeking a proactive Snr. Security Officer (Beadle) to lead the security at the prestigious Guildhall Complex. You will play a vital role in safeguarding the building, supporting high-profile events, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service, safety and security.

Key Responsibilities

As the Guildhall Snr. Security Officer (Beadle), you will be responsible for implementing security policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) across the Guildhall Complex, including during events. This ensures that the highest standards of security and safety are consistently maintained for all staff, visitors, and guests.

  • You will manage the deployment of security staff, monitoring their performance and overseeing their training and development.
  • A crucial aspect of the role involves overseeing the relationship with the City of London’s corporate security provider.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of events at the Guildhall is a key part of your duties.
  • You will also be responsible for maximising the use of security equipment, ensuring that all systems are fully functional.
  • In emergency situations, you will coordinate the response and liaise with emergency services as appropriate.
  • Handling complaints, feedback, incidents, and conflicts in a professional manner is essential.
  • You will also perform ceremonial duties at prestigious events such as the Court of Common Council and State Banquets.
  • Finally, you will promote and implement the City of London’s Occupational Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity policies.
