This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Property Services team in an ambitious and high-performing organisation. The team focuses on maximising the potential of the council’s land and property assets and provides efficient and professional estate management services across the council.

A senior team member involved in the administration, acquisition, disposal, letting, valuation and strategic management of the council’s property assets.

Key responsibilities:
As a general practice Chartered Surveyor, the postholder will be expected to:
- Undertake property management and lease work (mainly commercial) to protect the council’s interests, uphold compliances and maintain income.
- Negotiate and undertake property transactions and dealings.
- Assist the Strategic Property Services Manager in the development and implementation of the Asset Management Strategy and associated policies and plans.
- Undertake valuations for various purposes including feasibility studies and appraisals.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge and experience of a broad range of property transactions, and commercial asset management skills.
- Experience of managing staff, and the ability to work both individually and collaboratively as part of a working group.
