This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Property Services team in an ambitious and high-performing organisation. The team focuses on maximising the potential of the council’s land and property assets and provides efficient and professional estate management services across the council. Full and part time hours are available, and arrangements can be discussed further at interview.

The ideal candidate will be a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with strong commercial asset management skills. A senior team member involved in the administration, acquisition, disposal, letting, valuation and strategic management of the council’s property assets. Key responsibilities

  • Undertake property management and lease work (mainly commercial) to protect the council’s interests, uphold compliances and maintain income.
  • Negotiate and undertake property transactions and dealings.
  • Assist the Strategic Property Services Manager in the development and implementation of the Asset Management Strategy and associated policies and plans.
  • Undertake valuations for various purposes including feasibility studies and appraisals.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate

  • Knowledge and experience of a broad range of property transactions, and commercial asset management skills.
  • Experience of managing staff, and the ability to work both individually and collaboratively as part of a working group.
