The City of Lincoln Council are currently looking for a Community Services Support Assistant to join the Community Services team. The postholder will be responsible for undertaking a broad range of customer services and administrative duties consistent with supporting the work of a multi-skilled team providing street scene services.
Key responsibilities:
- To undertake general administrative tasks as directed by the Community Services Manager.
- To undertake checking of contractor invoices and allocating charges to the appropriate cost codes and informing the Service Manager of any discrepancies.
- To monitor and maintain the sections’ various web site/s and social media outlets, ensuring they are up to date and relevant, and responding as / when instructed.
- To organise and send out standard letters and the daily recording and distribution of incoming post.
- Provision of a general support service to the Community Services team including assistance with arrangements for meetings, preparation of minutes and agenda, typing, minute taking, and other general administrative duties.
- Maintenance of all filing systems, archive systems and electronic storage of information as required.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of working in a front-end public service delivery environment.
- Be able to demonstrate the use of social media from a corporate perspective.
- Experience of handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Possess at least 6 months practical Customer Services or office skills.
- NVQ related to Customer Care or / either relevant NVQ stage 3 Business Admin or similar.
