Requirements:

  • Experience of creating engaging, accessible web content.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus knowledge of UX design and WCAG standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively across a range of diverse teams.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and improve user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the Council's website and intranet using best practices in web design and accessibility.
  • Lead on content quality and usability, providing training and support to content authors and publishers.
  • Analyse site performance and user trends, producing actionable reports for service improvement.
  • Manage medium to large-scale web development projects and support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all web and intranet content issues, working closely with the Service Improvement team, Communications, and other teams across the Council.
