The City of Lincoln Council are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to lead our team of seven staff at Lincoln Crematorium, in the role of Bereavement Services Manager. We have been working with Lee Snashfold consultancy and the FBCA to modernise and transform all our processes and hence maximise the impact of over £2m of capital investment in recent years at our two-chapel crematorium site in the city. The role is responsible for not just the crematorium site, but also a mix of six old and new burial sites across the city. This is an exciting role offering a very competitive salary of up to £51,232 per year together with access to a range of other employee schemes and benefits (as set out below). In return we expect the successful candidate to complete the transformation process for us and ensure the service continues to be offered in a sympathetic and compassionate way to a very high standard whilst having commercial awareness of achieving significant growth in revenue sales. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: ICCM Certificates in Cemetery and Crematorium Management and full Diploma or similar. Experience of working at a management level in Bereavement Services. In-depth knowledge of statutory, regulatory, strategic and operational procedures for burials and cremations. Experience of developing and implementing a business and financial plan within bereavement services. Ability to demonstrate high levels of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy. To be able to build strong relationships with customers, the local community and contractors / suppliers. Previous experience of leading, motivating, managing or supervising a team of staff.
