We are currently seeking an Arborist Lead to join our Public Services department. This is a crucial leadership role for a technical expert who thrives on specialized tree care, team mentorship, and strategic seasonal planning. What is the Opportunity? Reporting to the Manager, Parks and Open Spaces, the Arborist Lead is the primary technical expert for the management of Leduc’s Urban Forest. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of urban forestry operations—from daily work assignments like pruning and removals to high-level tree risk assessments and the coordination of our annual tree planting programs. This role exists to ensure the health, safety, and diversity of our city’s tree inventory through evidence-based practices and proactive pest management. You will lead a dedicated tree crew, manage significant projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance our urban forest.
