Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, the Accounting Student is responsible to complete accounting project work as assigned, including the following:

  • Assist with system input including journal entries and accounts payable vouchers.
  • Assist with account reconciliations, spreadsheet development and spreadsheet maintenance.
  • Responsible for scanning/filing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Hours of operation are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Qualifications, Competencies

  • MUST BE ENROLLED IN AND RETURNING TO FULL-TIME POST SECONDARY STUDIES IN FALL OF 2026 – Verification will be required.
  • Preference given to university or college students currently studying accounting/business or a related program.

Skills, Abilities, Work Demands

  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of financial management systems.
  • MS Excel and Word proficiency at the intermediate level.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check at candidate’s own expense.
