We are seeking an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to deliver admin support to staff across the Student Development Team as well as provide a front-facing service to our students seeking support. This role will primarily be based at our Riverside Campus; however, you will also be required to provide support at our City Office as needed.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support, acting as a first point of contact at the help desk and responding to enquiries in person, by email and by telephone. The role includes preparing reports, maintaining accurate spreadsheets and databases, booking appointments, and ensuring that records are managed efficiently. You will also prepare and distribute materials to support Student Development processes, including training timetables and workshop resources, and provide assistance with the organisation and delivery of events.
The ideal candidate will hold Higher grades or an HNC (or equivalent qualification) and have previous experience in an administrative role. You will demonstrate excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of social media. Strong organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively and to process high volumes of data accurately. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enjoy working collaboratively with others, and be able to work flexibly as part of a hybrid team. An understanding of the role of Student Services within a Further Education environment would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
