Salary: Grade 5 Β£35,208 β Β£38,204 per annum (starting salary commences at Β£35,208 per annum)

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join the Student Experience Directorate and become part of our Learning Support Team.
As a British Sign Language Communication Support Worker / Trainee or Registered Sign Language Interpreter you will provide communication support for BSL users across a variety of areas.
Working within our team you will provide a professional service. You will support individuals or small groups within the learning environment, you will have the ability to develop good positive working relationships with individuals at all levels and be able to communicate effectively in both BSL and English.
You will work as a team to support and encourage students to engage in their learning experience, prompting them to stay motivated and focused on their tasks. Our team use Microsoft functions and virtual learning environments to maintain record keeping and communicate with our students.
We are looking to recruit professional, confident, and reliable staff to join our team to facilitate communication between BSL and non BSL users. We need team players who have great communication skills, who enjoy supporting others, who understand reasonable adjustments and who are familiar with accessibility functions.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to BSL Level 6, and/or have extensive experience in using BSL. Experience of the college sector or working within an educational or training environment is desirable.
Successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Disclosure Check & Certificate of Good Conduct and must be eligible to work in the UK.
