Lecturer Marine Engineering
Permanent, Full time, 35 hours per week.
Salary: £41,838 – £50,359 per annum pro rata (Candidate holding TQFE will commence at £48,227 per annum pro rata)
As Lecturer Marine Engineering, within the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will lead on the delivery of programmes that combine on-line, face to face and blended delivery of vocational teaching and learning.
As a professional member of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will be responsible for accessible, modern, innovative, and fit-for-purpose learning and teaching packages for the Blended Learning programmes as well supporting individual programme students throughout their learning journey.
To apply for this vacancy, you must have relevant marine engineering/engineering degree, and, or Engineer Officer of the Watch Certificate (Motor and/ or Steam, STCW III/1) preferably from the UK and have recent and demonstrable maritime industry experience at operational/management level.
You must be self-motivated and reliant and have a desire to teach with excellent MS Office skills. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to communicate learning to individuals with a variety of learning styles.
