This role is predominately based at the College City Campus. We are looking for a proactive, creative and forward-thinking individual to join the Student Development team's Skills Development Service as a Student Engagement Officer – Learner Development at City of Glasgow College. In this role, you will contribute to the implementation of the College’s Student Academic Experience Strategy and key priorities relating to learner success and retention.
Working collaboratively across the College, you will develop and deliver engaging learner development initiatives that support students at every stage of the learner journey. In partnership with the Student Experience Directorate, curriculum teams, and external organisations, you will assist with the design and facilitation of workshops, resources, events and activities that build learner confidence, independence and progression in both online and face-to-face contexts.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative practitioner with experience of developing and delivering group work, workshops or engagement activities within an education, youth, or community settings. We are seeking someone who is inclusive, highly organised and able to use their own initiative to champion innovative approaches within learner development.
To apply for this position, you must have an HND and/or a degree or equivalent level in a relevant discipline along with previous experience of working within a people-focused environment.
