City of Glasgow College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department. You will assist the Finance Manager on the provision of a high quality, customer focused Finance Service at the College. This role requires a high level of accuracy and competence in the provision of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process financial transactions in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable systems in line with college policies.
- Credit Control Duties.
- Process Daily Banking Duties and allocate receipts to Debtors and Nominal Accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Finance counter duties associated with a responsive and helpful frontline service.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a finance role.
- HNC/3 Higher Grades or equivalent level qualification.
- Strong attention to detail and possess strong numerical skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel and databases.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
