Overview: Fixed Term (until August 2026) Full Time (35 hours per week) Salary: £57,687 per annum.

Responsibilities: As Curriculum Head you will be responsible for assisting the Associate Dean in the academic leadership and implementation of all aspects of provision within the Faculty, inspiring and delivering student-centred results in line with the College's strategic ambitions and the Student Experience Strategy. The focus of this role will be on the development of nautical students (in particular Deck, Engine, ETO cadets and pre cadets). The responsibility of the Curriculum Head is to support both staff and students and fulfil a teaching responsibility for academic subjects, at a variety of levels, to a diverse range of students in the above area.

As a professional member of the teaching staff of the College, you will be responsible for the preparation of lessons; the teaching of students and the marking and assessment of their work. You will also manage a team of lecturers and have the ability to motivate, develop and drive excellent performance.

The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, good communication skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively. You should have previous experience of the direct management of curriculum delivery and development including the effective development, deployment and management of staff and direct relevant experience of curriculum development and planning processes.

You will be able to evidence creative and innovative methods of learning and teaching and a contribution to the wider student experience i.e. recruitment/retention initiatives, employability and enterprise initiatives.
