The holder of this position will work collaboratively with the Associate Dean, Art, Craft and design team to ensure a seamless and continued service each week. The Fine Art curriculum currently includes delivery of NC, HNC/D, and BA (Hons) courses. The area of responsibility for this post will include management of all levels.
The responsibility of the Curriculum Head is to support both staff and students and fulfil a teaching responsibility for academic subjects, at a variety of levels (SCQF L6-SCQF L10), to a diverse range of students in the above area. As a professional member of the teaching staff of the College, you will be responsible for the preparation of lessons; the teaching of students and the marking and assessment of their work. You will also manage a team of lecturers and the ability to motivate, develop and drive excellent performance.
To apply for this position, you must have a relevant qualification at SCQF level 10 and recent and relevant vocational experience. The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, good communication skills, and have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively. Applicants must hold a TQFE or equivalent (such as a PGDE). A management qualification would also be beneficial.
