Overview

Bank Lecturer in Professional Cookery – Permanent (Bank) role at City of Glasgow College.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional courses within the curriculum area of professional cookery to a diverse range of students at a variety of levels, with different learning styles.
  • Develop learning materials and prepare lessons; teach students, assess and mark their work.
  • Manage food ordering and maintain hygiene standards of the classroom kitchen.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HND or higher level qualification in Professional Cookery, with substantial industry experience at supervisory/ managerial level.
  • Broad demonstrable industry experience in culinary subjects, with excellent interpersonal skills to communicate learning to individuals with varying learning styles/needs.
  • Previous training experience or team leadership is essential.
  • PVG Disclosure Check (acceptable) at applicant\'s cost and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Contract and Salary

Permanent; Hours: Bank applicants must be available for at least 2 days per week from 3/11/25 to 19/12/25. After this period, hours will be as required depending on business needs.

Salary: £41,833 - £50,359 per annum pro rata (Candidates holding TQFE will commence on £48,227).
