Teacher of Social Subjects - fixed term until 31/05/2027
Salary: £35,022 - £52,740 (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 12.74 per week
Working pattern for position is Monday and Friday.
Forrester High School are looking for an experienced Social Subjects Teacher 12.74 hours per week (Mondays and Fridays only). The position will be a fixed term contract from 10/08/26 to 31/05/27.
The successful candidate will be capable of inspiring students and have a firm belief in the potential of all students. Forrester High School strives to ensure that all young people have access to tailored learning pathways that meet their needs. We will work closely to ensure our learners know how to progress their learning. This will enable them to gain the skills, experiences and qualifications they need to achieve a successful, positive and sustained destination on leaving school.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
